Saucony is originally an American brand. Saucony Shoe Manufacturing Company was founded in 1898 at the banks of Saucony Creek in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. Saucony means mouth of a creek or river. Hyde acquired the company and relocated the shoe manufacturing to Cambridge. In the beginning Saucony running shoes were used only by serious runners only then athletes started to use them too. In 1985 the company moved to Peabody, MA then in 2005 it was acquired by The Stride Rite Corporation, Lexington,men's saucony trigon 3 4, MA. Saucony won several awards and is a supporter of running races e.g. Brighton Marathon. How did I find this brand? Buying my first Saucony running shoes dates back to 2004. Before that I used normal training shoes. I went to a local shop to buy myself trainers and luckily the shopkeeper was a marathon runner so he convinced me to buy running shoes. He showed me different brands of running shoes and told me that he uses Saucony. It wasn’t the most expensive brand available so I believed him that they are really good. I had several pairs of Saucony running shoes since then, however while I was pregnant with my sons and breastfeeding them I used my running shoes for everyday footwear. |
