Recently, the developers of some famous and successful games have said goodbye to their employers and set up their own companies!

C9's developer is now working on a new project.

Kim Da Il, developer of C9 that won at Korea Game Awards 2009, has recently quit NHN Games and planned to set up a new game company. Related game magazine staff will be involved in the new company in addition toKim Da Il, and Webzen may be taken as a stock participating company as well. Since last year, Kim Da Il has been working on a new project for his upcoming new company. The company's construction will be started formally once all the required staff get ready.

Kingdom Under Fire's former development director is now developing a new MMORPG.

Lee Hyun Gae, former development director of Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders which won at Korea Game Awards 2004, has quit Phantagram and set up a new game company. With Phantagram's former vice director Kim Seong Dae as the CEO andLee Hyun Gae as the CTO, the new company is now engaged in the development of a new MMORPG, which is set to be characterized by distinctive graphics, profound storylines and simple controls.


Others

Cho Gi Yong, one of the founders of Webzen, has also started his own game company, so it is with the former CEO of Webzen - Lee Soo Young. It is said that Moon Da Gae, former development director of the Free Style series, is also in preparation for a new game company.
